Generating More Leads - Internet Marketing 101

1. Forum marketing. Go to forums and make friends with people who are likely to be your best prospects. Not only are you going directly to where your target audience gathers, but you are also able to build a positive relationship, which will go a long way in getting them to know, like, and trust you. Once you become a trusted content provider on a forum in your niche, people are more likely to want to either joint venture with you or become your customers.

2. Buy PPC ads. Using pay per click services, like Google AdWords or Overture, you are honing in on the right keywords that your target audience will be using to look for you. Be careful with PPC advertising as it does require some keyword research and a bit of a learning curve.

3. Advertise in responsive newsletters in your niche. You can do this by putting up small ads or solo ads in other people's newsletters. If the newsletter is a popular one, you will already have a built-in list of prospective buyers. In addition, you are "endorsed" by the list owner who has spent a lot of effort in creating a responsive list of subscribers.

4. Write articles and post them in article directories. Although this is a slow method of generating traffic, it is a method that once put in place will continue to create leads. Once you have a sufficient body of work out on the internet, you will become recognized as an authority in your niche.

5. Joint ventures. Share leads with other marketers. This can be done through the structure of a gift giveaway event or it could be simply swapping ads in your respective newsletters.
